At Cachengo, we rely heavily upon the passion and chemistry of our team. And that team is comprised of pretty much everyone that joins us. But our uber geeks are the ones who actually have to take all of this input, great ideas and sometimes useless miscellaneous opinions and turn it into new products and services. We take this task quite seriously, but thought it’d be helpful to provide a little more insight into who we actually are.
Mike

Mike’s ultimately the one to blame. As CEO and Chief Evangelist, he’s the one who keeps prototyping all new things. And you never know where his next product idea will come from as he’s been known to literally invent new products during customer meetings.
Mike does a little bit of everything in the company. He’s responsible for the build environment, appliance architecture, network security, data center architecture, OS work, and numerous other tinkerings. He also is responsible for Marking and Manufacturing. When he’s not doing all of this, he enjoys cycling and Jiu Jitsu.
Shane
Shane’s Mike’s primary go-to guy. That probably classifies him as an enabler. So if you can’t find Mike to blame, blame Shane. When Shane’s not coding, he enjoys the Sharks. We’re really not sure what he does when hockey season ends. We’ll find out and let you know.
Within Cachengo, Shane works on pretty much all things Java. He is the lead developer for our Hive product. And he also is responsible for our engineering systems such as our source code repository. He loves to invent new widgets and is 2nd only to Mike in declaring that a new feature should be super simple add. Doesn’t he just look stressed out?
Sal

This is what happens when you decide to work for Cachengo. You have to get issued an official crash helmet, but it helps if you bring your own. As you’ll notice, Sal’s probably the most professional of the team. That’s why he’s actually wearing his helmet. He’s the only one prepared. Sal likes to kick butt when he’s not coding. He’s a black belt in Taekwondo and is finishing up his 2nd dan.
Sal is one of our chief architects. He has extensive experience designing very high-end transactional platforms, capable of sustaining millions of concurrent users. So you can imagine what Shane and Mike have to do to get something past his QA process. Good thing he has his helmet. Within the team, Sal is responsible for our application level architecture.
Our India teammates

Since 2001, Mike has partnered with Vedams for the outsourcing of software development and for Virtual IT support. While Raghav is one of around 60 individuals who has been a part of our team over the years, he has been a significant part of our backup design team. We’d be remiss if we didn’t give Raghav and Vedams an honorable mention for all the help they’ve provided.
If you are looking to grow your storage development, we highly recommend you contact Kris Rajana of Vedams.
